PARTIES

When should I start planning a party or event?
This really depends on the scale and complexity of the celebration, but most of our clients begin planning between 1–12 months in advance. That said, we’ve also successfully planned beautiful events in just a few weeks, so it’s never too late to get started.
The more time you allow, the broader your choice of venues and suppliers. However, our close relationships with trusted industry professionals mean we can still curate an exceptional team even on a shorter lead time.
If you’re working to a tight deadline, being decisive and responsive will be key. If you have longer to plan, the process will naturally flow in waves, periods of activity followed by quieter moments. Either way, we’ll guide you through every step with calm, considered support.
What is the typical budget of the clients you serve?
Budgets vary depending on the style, scale, duration, and location of the event, from elegant dinners to multi-day celebrations. Because every client and every party is unique, we don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach.
Instead, we’ll discuss your plans during an initial consultation, then prepare a personalised proposal with a planning fee tailored to your event. Our full-service planning fee is based on a percentage of your overall event spend and is subject to a minimum, which varies depending on complexity.
If you’re unsure where to begin, we’ll help you understand what’s possible and guide you through how best to allocate your budget for impact, guest experience, and exceptional service.
What services do party planners offer?
Some party planners offer a range of services, from ad hoc design support or venue research, to on-the-day coordination or partial planning. While these options may suit some celebrations, we choose to work differently.
At Natalie Hewitt Events, we dedicate ourselves exclusively to full-service planning and design. Because we work with a small number of clients each year, we’re able to offer a calm, focused, and completely immersive planning experience, from concept to delivery. This allows us to build trusted relationships, create exceptional designs, and manage every detail with care.
How many events do you plan each year?
We work with a deliberately small number of clients at any one time, typically no more than 3 to 8 across an 18-month period. This ensures we can give each event the time, attention, and personal care it deserves.
By limiting our calendar, we’re able to provide an immersive, high-touch planning experience and build strong, collaborative relationships with our clients. Whether you’re planning an intimate dinner, a large-scale celebration, a multi-day private party, or an exclusive brand event, we’ll bring the same level of care, creativity, and precision to every detail.
Where are you based and do you plan destination events?
We’re based in England and work across the UK and internationally. Many of our clients live in the UK and need expert support for a wedding or party here, others live overseas and ask us to plan their celebration either in the UK or abroad.
We’re experienced in navigating different time zones, customs, and cultural expectations, and always adapt to suit the needs of each client and location. Whether you’re hosting at home, planning a celebration abroad, or bringing guests together from around the world, we’ll provide calm, seamless support from start to finish.
Who will plan my party?
We’re a small in-house planning and design team and that’s exactly how we like it. By working with only a few clients each year, we’re able to offer an exceptional level of personal service while delivering everything from intimate dinners to large-scale, multi-day events.
You’ll work directly with Natalie, who leads the creative vision and planning process. She designs each celebration, attends key meetings and site visits, and is the central point of contact for both clients and suppliers. With 15 years of experience, Natalie brings calm direction, detailed documents, strong relationships, and a warm, collaborative approach to every event.
Angela, our Lead Planning Manager, oversees logistics, timelines, and operations with precision and clarity, running a smooth and focused team throughout the event. Together with our trusted assistants, we ensure every detail is delivered exactly as planned, and the entire experience feels seamless.
What does a party planner do?
Quite simply, we do everything needed to bring your celebration to life, beautifully and seamlessly. Unlike venue coordinators (who typically offer basic schedules and supplier lists), we’re fully involved from the very beginning. We manage the entire planning process: from budget oversight and supplier sourcing, to logistics, styling, guest management and final delivery.
We design your full eventscape, not just flowers and furniture, but the complete experience. We handle all of the time-consuming, complex tasks so you don’t have to, including: Managing your budget, timelines, contracts, and payments, creating detailed guest lists, RSVP systems, and accommodation plans, coordinating logistics, schedules, and transportation, overseeing setup, on-the-day coordination, and full event management, liaising with every supplier, before, during and after the event, handling styling, signage, finishing touches, and pack down
You’ll have a calm, creative team by your side throughout, guiding the process while you focus on enjoying the celebration.
Will you be there on the day of my party?
Absolutely! We work so closely with you during the design and planning process, and know the ins and outs of your party. We will always oversee the set up, event days and clear down to ensure we are happy with the quality and delivery of your party. And how could we not celebrate with you on such an important day!

How much do party planners charge?
Most luxury party planners charge a percentage of your overall event spend, as larger budgets typically involve more complex logistics and higher levels of detail. That percentage usually ranges between 10–20%, depending on the event’s size, location, and duration.
Many planners also set a minimum fee to reflect the scale and standard of events they deliver. This may vary depending on whether it’s a marquee build, a private residence, or a multi-day celebration.
At Natalie Hewitt Events, our full-service planning and design fee is based on a percentage of your final spend, with a minimum fee applying subject to the complexity of your event. Because every celebration is different, we’ll always provide a personalised proposal following your consultation.

Our venues require us to carry public liability at a sufficient level and we will also request the same of the suppliers we recommend. In advance of your event, we also collate your suppliers insurance cover, risk assessments, and PAT certificates.
