2024 WEDDING TREND PREDICATIONS

Our “trend” predictions are more focused on feelings, memories, moments – that is our style and the signature of a Natalie Hewitt Wedding!

Back in early 2022 we spoke with Over the Moon about our predictions for wedding trends that year, we thought we would now share our thoughts for 2024. We still don’t “follow” style trends, so won’t be recommending colour palettes or “themes”. Our signature style is focussed on feelings, memories, moments – that is what makes a Natalie Hewitt wedding!

MULTI DAY: More and more couples are opting for multi-day celebrations where their guests can attend a weekend of fun, relaxation and celebration. Whether it’s an intimate welcome dinner the evening before, activities such as sports, boat trips, and sunset yoga to entertain guests or a garden party or BBQ the day after. With friends and family dispersed around the country, or even globe, turning their wedding into a mini vacation extends the celebration in many ways.

FLORAL INSTALLATIONS: Breath-taking, Instagramable florals are certainly something we will see a lot more of in 2022... Well didn’t our dreams come true!! There has been a continual increase to “the floral budget” and we’re delighted. Showstopping floral arches or large overhead installations provide a focal piece for your ceremony, drinks reception, cocktail hour or dance floor. Long may the large florals continue!

EPIC ENTERTAINMENT: Couples are now really putting their own stamp on their weddings, moving away from tradition and personalising their event. Delivering an experience guests will remember for a lifetime. Some of the events we’ve planned have featured live sketch artists, French Renaissance stilt walkers serving as ushers, a magician making tequila appear during dinner, flash mob choirs, fire dancers, vodka ice luges and drag queens entertaining guests throughout the night. No idea is off limits… not even James Blunt crowd surfing!
