REAL WEDDING – SAMANTHA AND ERIK
Sam approached me a year before her wedding having already found her dream wedding venue but feeling she really needed the support of a planner to help her. She came across my website and loved it so arranged to have a consultation with me and hired me on the spot. Her main reasons for hiring me were she wanted to liaise with one person throughout the planning (whereas venues can have a high turn around of staff), she was expecting her first baby and wanted to benefit from the expertise of a professional.
Their day was absolutely incredible. We started the day with a pre-ceremony drinks and canapes reception for the guests whilst Sam was getting ready. They had a beautiful civil ceremony in the Orangery at Stapleford Park with a harpist, followed by a religious blessing in the Church in the grounds with a performance from a tenors group.
Whilst the blessing was taking place, we turned the Orangery around ready for the second drinks and canapes reception. Guests were then invited to take their seats in the Grand Hall for the wedding breakfast, during which the Tenors Unlimited performed again; they really created an incredible atmosphere and were such a talking point.
Speeches were post dinner followed by a tea and coffee break back in the main house, so we could turn the Grand Hall around for the evening reception. To create a party vibe we had mood lighting, removed the majority of the tables out and replaced them with white chesterfield sofas and coffee tables and laid a white starlit dance floor. In the Orangery we created a food hall, with a doughnut wall, a cheese display and in the centre of the room we had a round table guests could walk around displaying sweet treats on display boxes.
During Sam and Erik’s first dance a confetti canon went off to invite all of their guests on to the dance floor and towards the end of the evening guests made their way outside for fireworks. When the party finished, all of the remaining guests made their way back to the hotel lounge bar for bacon sandwiches and cake.
“Wow! Natalie, I don’t know if I will ever ever ever be able to thank you enough for everything you did to make our wedding day so unbelievably and incredibly amazing and special, it was beyond all our wildest dreams and expectations! You are the hardest worker ever!
I would need the space of 100 cards to write all the thank you’s you deserve for creating our absolute dream wedding! I am just so happy we found you. I didn’t think we needed a planner but when we met you I knew instantly that we needed you. You are so wonderful at your job, a true professional and a lovely friend. It’s been such a fun experience planning with you. Erik and I and our family will be forever grateful for all you did to ensure we had a very special wedding. I miss our planning days!
Thank you for all you did, you are a dream maker and a fairy Godmother for Brides. So happy to have gained a new friend too, which is without doubt the best wedding planner in the world. Love you so much for everything you’ve done for us. You are THE NUMBER ONE wedding planner ever ever ever!!”
